The current oxygen consumption monitoring system includes the LSM system, the actuator system (AS), the LCA and an environmental control system. The environmental control system includes three heater–fan modules to heat and circulate the air around the LCA through proportional–integral–derivative (PID) control and up to 12 thermocouples for temperature monitoring. The enclosure was designed to allow for easy access to all areas and provides shelf space for storing large media and reagent bottles. The red circles identify the item noted in the corresponding label.
