Immunoblot analysis for a few of the representative dehydration-responsive proteins. The expression profile for Hsp70, 2-Cys peroxiredoxin (2-Cys Prx), aldolase, and α7 subunit of 20 S proteasome (Alpha 7P) was detected using 1-D Western blot analysis. An equal amount (100 μmg) of nuclear protein for all seven time points was separated by 12.5% SDS-PAGE and blotted onto Hybond-C membrane (GE Healthcare). The blots were probed with respective primary antibodies, and signal was detected. U, unstressed.
