CHGA1–40 increases TGF-β-1-responsive p3TP-Lux activity in coculture of mouse mesangial and endothelial cells. Only the mesangial cell layer was transfected with p3TP-Lux, then cocultured with or without an endothelial cell layer (separated by a semipermeable membrane), and incubated with CHGA1–40 for 72 h.
