Observed rate constants of the heme-c fast reduction phases in WT P. aeruginosa-NiR plotted as function of [Fe(III)heme-c]. Concentrations: 9.7 μM enzyme; 5 mM 1-methyl nicotinamide; 7 mM phosphate; 0.1 M tert-BuOH; Anaerobic, Argon saturated. pH 7.0; optical path length 3.0 cm; pulse width 0.1 μs; temperature 25°C. Formation of Fe(II)heme-c was found to be bi-exponential, and the observed rate constants of the two phases are shown as ■ and ●, respectively, in the plot.
