Numbers (mean ± SEM) of NPY-positive cells in hindbrain regions 3–4 or 7–8 d after a unilateral injection of siNPY (0.02 nmol) into A1/C1, and the control ntRNA into the contralateral A1/C1 region. For enhancing NPY immunohistochemical staining, colchicine (90 μg) was injected into the lateral ventricle 24 h before the perfusion.
