Proposed model of channeling of endogenously synthesized monounsaturated fatty acids from SCD-1 to diacylglycerol acyltransferase (DGAT) in the synthesis of triglycerides (TG) or acyl-CoA:cholesterol acyltransferase (ACAT) in the synthesis of cholesterol esters (CE).
