Figure 9

Gj-Vj plots of heterotypic junction. Two sets of parameters shown in A were used for this simulation. (B) Ij and gj traces were calculated in response to consecutive Vj steps increasing stepwise (ΔVj = 20 mV) from −100 to 100 mV. (C) The family of gss-Vj plots show that Vj-gating asymmetry increased with the reduction of Vh,o of Cx45 from 30 to 10 (thick gray line), −10, 30, and −50 mV. (D and E) An effect of γh,o and γh,res rectification on Vj-gating. gss-Vj (gray lines) and gin-Vj (black lines) plots shown in D were obtained at ϖo of 5000 (circles), 500 (diamonds), and 250 mV (triangles). gss-Vj (gray lines) and gin-Vj (black lines) plots shown in E were obtained at ϖres of 4000 (circles), 400 (diamonds), and 200 mV (triangles). The inset in E highlights gss increase with increase of Vj.
