Lifetime rates of disorder for NCS-R whites differ from previously published NCS-R rates as this analysis is limited to non-Latino whites and excludes racial/ethnic minorities (Kessler, June 2005). Additionally, NLAAS composite diagnostic categories are restricted to the following disorders: any depressive disorder (dysthymia, major depressive episode); any anxiety disorder (agoraphobia, social phobia, generalized anxiety, post traumatic stress, panic); any substance disorder substance disorder (drug abuse, drug dependence, alcohol abuse, alcohol dependence); any disorder (any depressive, any anxiety, and any substance).
