Table 1 shows the clinical data and parameters of disease activity of 16 spondyloarthritis (SpA), 9 rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and 7 osteoarthritis (OA) patients used for the RT-PCR measurements on the synovial fluid samples. Swollen joint count (SJC), tender joint count (TJC), C-reactive protein (CRP), and synovial fluid (SF) leukocyte counts were higher in both SpA (*) and RA (#) as compared with OA; Mann Whitney U test; P < 0.05).
