The effect of alteration of STAT-3 level and activity on C/EBPβ expression in monocytes and macrophages. Wild-type peritoneal macrophages produce inhibitory C/EBPβ after treatment with LPS or IL-10 (lanes 2 and 3). The combination is synergistic (lane 4).
