The indicated wild-type (WT) and deletion strains containing the GAL1::FLO8-HIS3 reporter gene were grown overnight in synthetic complete (SC) medium and spotted as 10-fold serial dilutions on SC or SC lacking histidine and containing galactose as the carbon source (SC Gal −His) and incubated at 30°C for 1 to 3 days.
