Human liver myofibroblasts bind FITC-labelled C1-3 scAb (green). Hepatic stellate cells were isolated by pronase and collagenase perfusion from resected human liver and were cultured as outlined [11]. After transdifferentiation and sub-culture, cells were typically more than 95% positive for the classic myofibroblast marker α-smooth muscle actin [1].
