The uncertainties quoted in parenthesis are standard errors of the mean. The values nD and nG are, respectively, the numbers of cells used in the dynamic and geometric measurements. The values for r were obtained from the literature (8–10) for V. alginolyticus, C. crescentus, and E. coli minicells, respectively.
