The PSF aggregation was initiated by mixing Fe²⁺ anaerobically with PSF having different sizes of mineral core (a, 0; b, 100; c, 200; d, 300; e, 400; f, 800; g, 1600 Fe³⁺/shell). Association was followed by the intensity of scattered light at a 90° to the incident beam. The curve represents an average of six experimental measurements. Conditions: [PSF] = 0.5 μm in 100 mm Mops (pH 7.0), 48 μm FeSO₄, 25 °C.
