NPD1 rescues stably transfected 15-lipoxygenase-1 deficient cells from oxidative stress-induced apoptosis. 15-Lipoxygenase-1 silenced cells were serum-starved and treated with either PEDF-DHA, 15(S)-HETE, 12(S)-HETE, lipoxin A₄, or NPD1 and 600 μm H₂O₂ plus 10 ng/ml TNFα for 16 h. 50 nm of each lipid was added.
