Tissue section analyses. Tumor bearing athymic nude mice were injected with PBS, IRDye 800CW carboxylate, or IRDye 800CW 2-DG as indicated. Animals were sacrificed after imaging and tissues and organs were cryopreserved in OCT compound. Three to four frozen 8-µm sections per organ were scanned on the Odyssey Imaging System and signals were averaged. Relative fluorescence was determined by normalizing respective tissues to PBS.
