Inhibition of the binding of 125I-labeled C57A/N106S to 12H5 cells by cysteinylated GIF proteins. Radiolabeled C57A/N106S was mixed with various concentrations of rhGIF (□), C57A/N106S (○), nGIF-Cys (●), or rhGIF-Cys (■), and the mixtures were incubated with 1 × 106 cells. The final concentration of 125I-labeled C57A/N106S was 1 nM. The ordinate represents the ratio between specifically bound radioactivity in the presence of unlabeled GIF and that in the absence of GIF.
