Whole lung RNA was collected at serial times after exposure to P. aeruginosa and levels of specific transcripts were determined by qRT-PCR and normalized to HPRT. Reported are fold change in mRNA levels relative to time 0. (A) MMP-28 expression was rapidly downregulated and returned to baseline after resolution of infection and inflammation.
