PGC-1α/β overexpression improves respiration of patients’ fibroblasts. Fibroblasts were transduced with Ad-PGC-1α or Ad-PGC-1β. After 72 h, cells were collected and oxygen consumption measured both with endogenous substrates (E) and with ascorbate/TMPD (A/T), which donates electrons to cytochrome c.
