Those relationships that are significant are indicated in bold. We tested three models to describe the relationships (linear, quadratic, and power), and the quadratic function provided the best fit in all cases. The relationships between Faith's PD and soil pH for the full community and the individual phyla are shown in Fig. 3A and Fig. S1 in the supplemental material.
