Effect of curcumin treatment on Bcl-2 family of proteins. Melanoma cells were treated with 75 µM curcumin for the indicated times. Cell extracts (150 µg of protein) from untreated and curcumin-treated cells were prepared as described under Section “Experimental Procedures” and analyzed by Western blot analysis. (a) Membranes were probed with anti-Mcl-1 antibody for detection of the anti apoptotic Mcl-1 protein.
