(B–D) Enamel covers the coronal dentin surface of molars and the labial aspect of the incisor where it gradually increases in thickness along the length of the tooth (from apical to incisal end). (E–H) In AMBNΔ5–6 mice, the material covering the dentin on both molars and incisors is barely visible (arrows). The molars also exhibit attenuated occlusal surfaces.
