Released monosaccharides were fractionated on a DEAE column and the neutral oligosaccharide pool was fractionated on the LiChrospher NH₂ column. Some of the obtained peaks from the LiChrospher column were pooled and submitted to gas chromatographic analysis for their monosaccharide composition.
