Clic4-/- mice have lower perfusion immediately after femoral artery ligation and reduced recovery of perfusion. Doppler images (a,b) showing regions of interest (outlined area) for quantification (c,d) of perfusion of the plantar foot (index of hindlimb perfusion) and adductor thigh (index of combined collateral and adductor perfusion). Plantar and adductor perfusion dropped more in Clic4-/- immediately after ligation, suggesting lower collateral conductance, but recovered at a similar rate relative to wild-type, suggesting similar collateral remodeling. *, ** p<0.05, 0.01 vs. WT.
