Effect of Asc and HNE on GST activity of THP-1 cells. The cells were pre-incubated with 1 mM Asc for 18 h, washed with HBSS and then incubated with 0.1 mM HNE in HBSS for 3 h before GST analysis. The data are expressed as means ± SE of 3 experiments. Data were analyzed by one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by the Tukey-Kramer multiple comparison post hoc test. All values are statistically different (p ≤ 0.05) from each other except when sharing a common letter.
