FIG. 4.
Gene expression dysregulation at 4 and 24 h after treatment start. This heatmap shows gene expression ratios (mean of three biological replicates per dose and time point) of the 40 expressed genes in studies from six partners (#1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9) after one-dimensional Euclidian clustering for genes. Red means up- and green downregulation versus control as indicated by the “Ratio” color scale on the left. Samples from different compounds are separated by yellow lines, and samples from different time points by white dotted lines. The two or three columns per time point correspond to increasing compound concentrations per time point. The cytotoxicity per sample is shown as % cell number in green to blue colors on top of the heat map (see leftmost scale for exact numbers). When data were not available, gray color is shown. Genes labeled with the black bar on the right represent p53 target genes. Study numbers are given below the heat maps. Cp (cisplatin), Etop (etoposide), Txl (taxol), NaCl (sodium chloride).
