Null mutant or wild-type mice were injected intraperitoneally with 3-IC 0.2 mg/kg and rectal temperature was recorded every 5 minutes. Time course of temperature decrease is graphed for C57 α7-/- (n = 4) (A), C57 β2-/- (n = 5) (C) and C57 β4-/- (n = 5) (E). Minimal temperature was plotted for C57 α7-/- (B), C57 β2-/- (D) and C57 β4-/- (F) null mutant and wild type mice (* p<0.05, Student's t test).
