EPO and EpoR protect myoblasts from inflammatory cytokine-induced apoptosis. C2C12 cells treated with LV-mEpoR-GFP, LV-tmEpoR-GFP, or LV-GFP control were cultured with a cocktail of inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, TNF-α, and INF-γ) and exposed to different concentration of EPO (0, 0.1, 0.2, 1 U/ml) for 48 h.
