Figure 5. — Proposed homeostatic feedback loop between DCs and T reg cells. Increased numbers of DCs result in increased numbers of T reg cells. An increase in T reg cells leads to a decrease in DCs, which in turn decreases the number of T reg cells, which then increases DCs. MHCII expression by DCs is required for these effects. A loss of T reg cells increases DCs by a mechanism that requires FL.
