The fast phase of the tail current (D–F) containing fast (not resolved) components of current deactivation is truncated. The simulated currents were calculated from the full four-state model by solving the ODE system (Eq. 4.5) making use of the estimated rate constants (Tables II and III) and a reversal potential of 48 mV (see also Materials and methods).
