Parasitemia in wild-type and Cav-1 null mice following infection with T. cruzi. Daily parasitemia was assessed over a period of 30 days in wild-type (WT) and Cav-1 null (KO) animals. After 15 days of infection, parasitemia is first reproducibly quantifiable in both WT and KO mice.
