The formation of viroplasms is not impaired when the DLP proteins are knocked down. MA104 cells grown in coverslips were transfected with the indicated siRNAs; at 48 h posttransfection the cells were infected with RRV, and at 8 hpi the cells were fixed and immunostained as indicated in Materials and Methods.
