Data are presented as the ratio of fiber type I and II relative to total fiber types in soleus muscle. Cross-sectional area is the area of the individual muscle fibers in transverse section (μm²). Fiber density is the number of fibers in a given area (mm²). Results are shown as means ± SE; n =4 for all groups.
