Effects of short-term incubation of cells with T-705 on influenza A/Duck/MN/1525/81 (H5N1) virus production. After infection of cells with a virus challenge dose of ∼1 CCID₅₀/cell for 1 h, the cells were incubated with compound for various lengths of time ranging from 1 to 24 h. Fresh medium devoid of T-705 was applied to cells exposed to compound only for short periods of time [1–8 h, compared with continuous (24 h) treatment]. Extracellular virus yields were determined from all samples collected at 24 h. Data points are mean values ± SD (n = two independent experiments).
