Results are expressed as mean estimate±SEM for nominal variables (protocol and infusion number). For ordinal variables (recent period after infusion, NCI I-II, NCI III-IV and exenatide usage), results are score changes based on exposure. For continuous variables, data are score changes based on one unit increment (each increasing year for diabetes duration and each 1 IU/kg/day for insulin dosage).
