Table 1.

Cell-Surface Marker Expression and Tumorigenicity of Human Gastric Cancer Cell Lines

Surface Marker
Cell Line (a) (b) (c) Spheroid Tumorigenicity
(1) + + + +
(2) + + + +
(3) + + ±
(4) ± +

NOTE. Spheroid positivity means the cells produced spheroid colonies with serum-free medium in nonattachment cell plates. Tumorigenicity positivity means the cells produced skin tumor in immunodeficient mice such as severe combined immunodeficiency mice or Rag2/γC double-knockout mice. Tumorigenicity positivity/negativity means tumors appeared only in Rag2/γC double-knockout mice.
