Mean and SE values were obtained by analysis of variance. The linkage significant at whole genome level is given. In order to obtain normal distribution, we used natural logarithm of (IFNγ in serum [ng/ml] to the power of 0.5) and natural logarithm (IL-4 in serum [ng/ml] to the power of 1.1). The numbers in bold give the average non-transformed values. C and S indicate the presence of BALB/c and STS allele, respectively; n indicates number of mice.
