The contribution of different populations to total cytokine production is illustrated in pie charts, based on the iMFI values, a calculated parameter that accounts for both the frequency of cells producing a given cytokine and magnitude of the cytokine response reflected by the median fluorescence intensity. For these data, PBMC obtained on day zero, 7 and 140 were re-stimulated with AMA1 for 72h, then stained and analyzed (n=10).
