Suppression of TIARP mRNA by treatment with anti-tumor necrosis factor-alpha monoclonal antibody (anti-TNFα mAb). (a) The development of arthritis was blocked by administration of anti-TNFα mAb in mice immunized with glucose-6-phosphate isomerase. Data represent arthritis scores. (b) In spleen, administration of anti-TNFα mAb suppressed the rise in TIARP mRNA (on day 10) (solid bars), but not control Ig (open bars). However, in joints, expression of TIARP mRNA was almost comparable after the administration of anti-TNFα mAb or control Ig.
