Partial dendrogram and representative banding patterns for the 32 unique PFGE banding patterns, including the banding pattern for the E. coli O157:H7 isolate (Kansas) obtained in a previous study (11) conducted 2 years before the current study. The Kansas isolate was determined to have the same virulence genotype as the other E. coli O157:H7 isolates utilizing multiplex PCR before the PFGE analysis.
