The number of cells in the P and Q fractions (N_Q+P) (column 2) was estimated by labeling protocol 1 and the number of cells in Q fraction alone (N_Q) (column 3) was estimated by labeling protocol 2. The Q fraction (column 4) was obtained by N_Q/N_Q+P, in which values in column 3 were divided by those in column 2. The P fraction (column 5) was calculated with 1-Q.
