Thermodynamic environments space of 120 diverse human proteins. Energetic values from the native state ensembles of 120 proteins, 17,484 residues total, are plotted. The conformational entropy value is indicated by color, red for the lowest conformational entropies, and violet for the highest. These data assume an arrowhead shape and span the physical limits of thermodynamic environments space. The segregation of entropy colors suggests latent organization of this space, organization subsequently revealed by PCA.
