Two hundred BALB/c mice in six experiments were challenged with WRvFire alone (105 PFU) or received intraperitoneal injections with VIGIV at the concentrations indicated in Fig. 4 2 days prior to challenge. The animals were imaged within their survival period or until day 10 postinfection. t tests were performed for fluxes in internal organs between surviving and nonsurviving mice irrespective of treatment. n = 200.
