Expression profiles of the miRNAs targeting Clock and Bmal1, which functions as the circadian transcription factors, tend to show significant and inverse correlations with those of the target circadian genes (P value < 0.01). In contrast, the components of the circadian negative feedback loop including Rev-erba, Cry1, and Per1 showed significant positive correlation in expression patterns with the miRNAs targeting them (P value < 0.01).
