Interferon-γ (IFN-γ) induces protein kinase C-α (PKC-α) nuclear translocation in RAW264.7 cells and in bone marrow-derived macrophages (BMDM). RAW 264.7 cells transfected with PKC-α–green fluorescent protein (GFP) conjugates (a and c) or BMDM (b and d) were incubated in the absence (a and b) or presence (c and d) of 100 U/ml of IFN-γ for 2 hr and prepared for immunofluorescence analyses as described in the Materials and methods (red, F-actin; green, PKC-α; blue, DNA).
