Follicle-stimulating hormone and estradiol are required for maximal induction of glutamate cysteine ligase enzymatic activity. Granulosa cells were cultured for 48 h in serum-free medium alone, with 20 ng/ml ovine FSH, or with FSH plus 100 ng/ml estradiol.
