In the conventional approach, progressive saturation transfer experiment with long d₁ was employed to obtain T_1,PCr^app, and long d₁ plus long d₂ was employed for M_ss,PCr measurement. k_f was calculated using Eq. 3, and T_1,PCr^app was calculated using Eq. 2. The novel approach used d_1,opt plus d_2,opt to obtain the M_ss,PCr measurement. T_1,PCr^app was calculated from two spectra (B2 in Fig. 5 and C3 in Fig. 6), according to Eq. 10: T_1,PCr^app = −TR/ln(1 − M_TR,PCr/M_ss,PCr). Statistical analysis showed no significant difference in any measurement obtained by novel and conventional strategies.
