Membrane permeabilization of L. pneumophila by warnericin RK. A flow cytometry assay of L. pneumophila membrane permeabilization by warnericin RK is shown. Exponential cells (10⁶ CFU/mL) were incubated at various warnericin RK concentrations for 45 min at 37°C. Cells were stained with the Baclight kit (SYTO 9 and PI) and analyzed by flow cytometry. PI penetrates in membrane-damaged cells. A total of 50,000 events were recorded for each sample. Results represent the mean of three independent experiments.
