Targeting of DCG lattice proteins is independent of ΔGRT1 ΔGRT2. Wild-type (WT) and ΔGRT1 ΔGRT2 (ΔGRT1-2) cultures were stimulated with dibucaine, and the released flocculent was depleted of trapped cells by several rounds of pelleting and resuspension, as described in Materials and Methods. The final flocculents were precipitated by trichloroacetic acid, suspended in SDS sample buffer, and electrophoresed on a 5 to 15% polyacrylamide gel. Proteins were visualized by Coomassie blue staining. All lanes contain independent samples of the indicated cell type.
