Maximum Floquet Multipliers (FM; unitless) vs. Age and Speed for Poincaré sections taken at 0, 25, 50, and 75% of the gait cycle. Error bars denote between-subject standard deviations within each group. Older adults exhibited larger maximum FM values than Young adults (p ≤ 0.008). Maximum FM did not vary with walking speed (p ≥ 0.170). Qualitatively similar results were obtained for all Poincaré sections.
